Suggestion: German Translation

Postby HohesHaus » Sat Jun 15, 2013 12:09 pm

It would be no problem for me to translate fleshcult into german, because it's my mothertongue. If you wanna I can translate the current status every weekend.

My payment: Upgrade my account to unlimited turns. Thats all.

Thanks, but I'm not accepting translations at the moment:
  • The game is incomplete, so any translations would quickly get out of date.
  • Making the editor has helped, but there's still lots of text directly in the code, and splitting it out is a prerequisite to translating it.

Enjoying this game a lot, wanna translate it to Russian for free in my spare time, native speaker. I know it's not complete, but could start with basic interface, that's unlikely to change. Also Russian differs a lot from main european languages, it's more complex, adjectives have genders and cases, nouns have cases, verbs also sometimes have gender. So at first i could help by telling how to establish foundation for such languages, it should be interesting for me :).

Also unrelated: could you make that trial accounts could not visit surface after a limit, but could watch other tabs? Wanna see what i managed to achieve :). That's a pity i wasn't on offbeatr, when game was funding.

Game is complete (at least for now), so topic about translation can be brought up again.
What do you think about community-translations into other languages? What about ones that differ from English rules, but not much?

I would love if that to bring this game to more audiences.

Thanks, but I'm way too snowed under with my non-Fleshcult project to make any progress removing Fleshcult's assumptions of English grammar.*

* If anyone reading this is working on a text game of their own, a parser that works on <if><else> is much more general than something that substitutes <noun> etc. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.
